Police Transfer Jampidsus Febrie Case to AGO, KPK Responds

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has responded to the transfer of three alleged corruption cases implicating former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah. The National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor Polri) is known to have handed the case over to the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung).

“The KPK believes in the professionalism of case handling at both the National Police and the Attorney General’s Office,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo when confirmed in Jakarta on Saturday (11/7/2026).

The KPK stated that both law enforcement institutions are always transparent in handling a case. Budi invited the public to continue following the developments in the investigation of this alleged corruption case. “Therefore, let us all respect the ongoing legal process,” he continued.

Previously, Kortastipidkor Polri on 6 July 2026 announced an investigation into alleged corruption and money laundering in the procurement and fulfilment of coal supplies for several steam power plants for the 2018-2026 period. On 8 July 2026, Kortastipidkor Polri was known to have begun searching several locations.

The National Police explained that the searches were related to three cases: the alleged coal supply corruption announced two days prior, alleged corruption in Asabri and Jiwasraya insurance for the 2020-2025 period, and an alleged money laundering case in the debt settlement process of PT CBS to PT KNI under the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.
