Police to Summon Head of SPPG After Counter-Report in Maggot-Infested MBG Case
Central Lombok Police (Polres Lombok Tengah) will soon summon several parties, including Alman Putra, the head of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) in Ketara Village, Pujut Subdistrict. This follows a report filed by a resident named Baiq Restu Tunggal Kencana.
The report was filed by Baiq, a woman who was previously reported by Alman for alleged defamation after uploading images of maggot-infested MBG (Makan Bergizi Gratis) menus on social media. However, the report against Baiq is known to have been discontinued.
“We haven’t conducted the summons yet because the disposition has only just been issued,” said Punguan to detikBali on Tuesday (7/4/2026) in Praya.
He emphasised that every report from the public will be processed to provide legal certainty. According to him, the investigation will be carried out in accordance with applicable procedures.
“Every report is followed up,” he stressed.
Punguan also confirmed that Baiq’s report is a counter-report from the previous case that has been discontinued. Nevertheless, he assured that the legal process will proceed objectively.
“The conclusion (of the case) is determined through a case review. Just like the handling of the previous report,” he explained.
So far, the police have only examined Baiq as the reporter. The examination was conducted on the same day as the reporting as part of the latest standard operational procedure (SOP).
“That’s the SOP for receiving reports. So that the reporter doesn’t have to go back and forth to the police station to provide statements,” he revealed.
Regarding the possibility of mediation, Punguan could not yet confirm. He emphasised that the main focus at present is to gather statements from all involved parties.
Previously, Alman Putra has now been reported to Central Lombok Police (Polres Lombok Tengah). Alman is the head of the SPPG in Ketara Village, Pujut Subdistrict, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Alman himself had previously reported two Central Lombok residents for alleged defamation after they uploaded MBG menus containing maggots. This time, Alman is being reported by Baiq Restu Tunggal Kencana, the woman he had previously reported to the police.
“We, as the reported party in the previous defamation case, are now filing a counter-report regarding Article 361 on false reporting. Then Article 342 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code on threats to life and health, and Article 434 of the Criminal Code on slander,” said Rodi Fatoni, Baiq Restu’s legal representative, after submitting the report at Central Lombok Police on Saturday (4/4/2026).
Fatoni said his client is fighting back by filing a counter-report against Alman because she feels harmed. Moreover, the MBG menu in the form of bread distributed by the SPPG under Alman’s leadership has been proven to contain maggots.
“If there is clear harm, my client feels mentally disturbed, psychologically, which impacts her child’s health, who of course cannot be left at home and thus accompanied her from morning in the examination process,” said Fatoni.
