Yogyakarta Police intend to summon an active judge, Rafid Ihsan Lubis (RIL), and a UGM lecturer, Cahyaningrum Dewojati. Both will be examined in connection with the management of Daycare Little Aresha.

“All those involved in this case will be asked for statements,” said the Head of Criminal Investigation at Yogyakarta Police, Kompol Riski Adrian, to reporters on Tuesday (12/5).

Riski explained that the police had conducted a case review with the prosecutor’s office. The result was a decision to carry out additional examinations of several parties, such as other caregivers with witness status, as well as Rafid and Cahyaningrum.

“Additional examinations will be conducted,” Adrian stated.

Yogyakarta Police previously stated that the Supreme Court’s Supervisory Board (Bawas) also directly observed the examination process of the suspects in the alleged child abuse and neglect case by Daycare Little Aresha.

The Bawas MA intervened directly due to suspicions of an active judge with the initials RIL being involved in the management structure of Little Aresha.

The active judge allegedly in the daycare’s management structure is Rafid Ihsan Lubis (RIL), who serves at the Tais District Court in Seluma Regency, Bengkulu. His name appears in the daycare’s organisational structure as Chairman of the Aresha Indonesia Center Foundation’s Advisory Board.

In response, according to information from the Tais District Court, Rafid denied active involvement in managing the Little Aresha Daycare Foundation in Yogyakarta.

Meanwhile, UGM has confirmed that Cahyaningrum Dewojati is an active lecturer at the campus. As an institution, UGM ensures it has no relations whatsoever with the Little Aresha Daycare Foundation.
