Police to Reconstruct Bogor Toll Road Murder Case
The case of a woman murdered and her body thrown from a toll road in Bogor has entered a new phase. Investigators from the Bogor City Police have submitted the first stage of the case file to the Bogor District Prosecutor’s Office and will soon hold a reconstruction.
“Currently, the case file has been submitted by investigators for stage one to the prosecutor’s office, pending the prosecutor’s instructions for a reconstruction. The timing of the reconstruction is still tentative,” said Bogor City Police Public Relations Officer Ipda Imam when contacted on Thursday (6/8/2026).
In this case, a man identified as M Febryan alias Ambon (26) has been named a suspect for allegedly murdering a woman with the initials AA (26). After the killing, the suspect threw the victim’s body from the elevated toll road onto Jalan Sholeh Iskandar (Sholis) in Bogor City on Saturday (23/5).
Imam stated that the first stage of the case file submission was carried out in June. The file for the murder of the woman with the initials AA was previously returned to investigators with instructions to carry out a reconstruction.
“The stage one submission was in June. It is true that the file was returned to fulfil the prosecutor’s instructions. One of the instructions was the reconstruction,” Imam said.
The suspect has been charged with premeditated murder. Police previously stated that M Febryan alias Ambon (26) faces multiple charges, including premeditated murder.
“He is charged with murder, premeditated murder, and grievous bodily harm. We are layering all these charges so that this heinous suspect does not escape. The penalty is a prison sentence of 15 to 20 years,” said Bogor City Police Chief Commissioner Rio Wahyu Anggoro on Monday (25/5/2026).
“Because of this cruel and heinous act, the articles we are applying are Article 459, Article 458 paragraph 1, Article 479 paragraph 3 and/or Article 466 paragraph 3 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Article 2 paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law,” he added.
