Police to Question Makers of 'Pig Party' Film in Mama Sinta Investigation

Police are continuing to investigate a report filed by Yasinta Moiwend, commonly known as Mama Sinta, regarding the film ‘Pesta Babi: Kolonialisme di Zaman Kita’ (Pig Party: Colonialism in Our Time). The Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, stated that his team is confirming details with several parties linked to the report. Iman confirmed that summonses have been issued, but declined to disclose who has been or will be questioned. “As of today, we are still conducting the investigation by confirming with parties connected to what Mama Sinta stated in her report,” Iman said at Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday (9/6). Iman noted that investigators will also summon the parties responsible for making the ‘Pesta Babi’ film, though he did not specify who would be questioned or when the examination would take place. “Likewise, we will question the parties involved in the making of the film in which Mama Sinta appears,” he added. Previously, Yasinta Moiwend reported the head of LBH Papua Merauke, with the initials JTW, to Polda Metro Jaya over the documentary film. The report was registered under number LP/B/3843/V/2026/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya, dated 29 May 2026. The head of LBH Merauke was reported in connection with Article 65 in conjunction with Article 67 concerning Personal Data Protection. Mama Sinta’s legal counsel, Hamonangan Daulay, stated that the report was filed against an individual, the head of LBH Merauke with the initials JTW. Meanwhile, Mama Sinta expressed deep hurt over the screening of the film featuring her image. She claims no permission was sought by the filmmakers. “They screened that Pig Party film everywhere, I am hurt, I am very disappointed. Without my permission, without any discussion. They are criminals,” said Mama Sinta. “My face is everywhere they screen that film, I am hurt. Without my permission. That is why I came to Jakarta,” she continued. In addition to the head of LBH Merauke, Mama Sinta also reported Dandhy Dwi Laksono, the director of the documentary. This was confirmed by the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, who stated that Mama Sinta reported allegations of fraud and the taking of personal data against two individuals, JTW and DDL.
