Investigators from the Yogyakarta City Police are deepening their probe into the alleged involvement of an active lecturer from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and a judge in the alleged child abuse case at the Little Aresha daycare in Yogyakarta. The investigation includes auditing the foundation’s financial flows.

The two individuals involved are Dr Cahyaningrum Dewojati, whose name is recorded as an advisor to the foundation, and Rafid Ihsan Lubis, who serves as the chairman of the foundation’s supervisory board.

“During the initial examination, the chairman of the foundation stated that their names were merely used for the organisational structure,” said Yogyakarta Police Chief, Kombes Eva Guna Pandia, to reporters on Monday (18/5/2026).

Police will also trace the foundation’s financial flows to ensure there is no involvement of other parties in the daycare’s operations, including checking whether any funds were deposited into the accounts of the two individuals.

“We will certainly check their bank statements to see if there are any transactions and where the funds were directed. However, we will continue to carry out examinations,” he added.

“If it is proven that there were no such transactions, it means their names were simply used for the organisational structure due to personal acquaintance,” Pandia added.

Previously, 13 individuals had been named as suspects and detained in relation to the alleged child abuse case at Little Aresha Daycare. Yogyakarta Police Chief Kombes Eva Guna Pandia revealed that all 13 suspects are female, identified by the initials DK (51), AP (42), FN (30), NF (26), Lis (34), EN (26), SRm (54), DR (32), HP (47), ZA (30), SRj (50), DO (31), and DM (28).

“The first is DK, the Chairperson of the Foundation. The second is AP, the headteacher. The other eleven individuals acted as caregivers,” Pandia explained during a press conference at the Yogyakarta Police Headquarters on Monday afternoon.
