Police to Implement Traffic Management for Persib's Championship Parade
Bandung – Police will implement traffic management during the Persib champion parade for the BRI Super League 2025/2026, on Saturday 23 May 2026 and Sunday 24 May 2026. The public not involved in celebrations are advised not to pass along the parade route.
As is known, Persib Bandung is one step away from clinching the BRI Super League 2025/2026 title, needing only a point against Persijap at GBLA Stadium. If they win, Persib Bandung will have won the title three times in succession, i.e., a hat-trick.
Raydian Kokrosono, the Director of Traffic of Polda Jabar (West Java Police), said security and traffic control as well as traffic engineering will start at 07:00 WIB on Sunday 24 May 2026 until finish. Security focus will be on ring 2 and ring 3 and there will be route diversions at several points to avoid congestion.
“We can redirect traffic heading to the celebration location or parade route,” he said on Friday 22 May 2026.
He said the Persib victory parade route will start from Gedung Sate on Jalan Diponegoro to Gedung Merdeka on Jalan Asia Afrika. Raydian urged tourists and residents who have no reason to be there to avoid the convoy area.
“Please, Bandung residents, if you do not have a reason to celebrate Persib’s championship, could you avoid the area,” he added.
He added that police have prepared more than 3,000 joint personnel for security at the match and the celebration. In addition, volunteers from Bobotoh will be involved to assist officers on the ground.
In the traffic engineering prepared, four-wheeled vehicles from the north via Jalan Ir H Djuanda will be diverted to Jalan Ganesa, Jalan Hasanudin, Jalan Dipatiukur, Jalan Panatayuda to Jalan Surapati. Meanwhile, traffic from the east via Jalan Surapati will be diverted to Jalan Aria Jipang, Jalan Diponegoro, Jalan Trunojoyo, and Jalan Cimalaya.
Then traffic from the south via Jalan Ir H Djuanda will be directed to Jalan Ranggagading, Jalan Tamansari Bawah and Jalan Wastukencana. While traffic from the west via the Pasupati flyover will be diverted to Jalan Cihampelas Atas.
