Police to Implement Traffic Diversions During Indian PM's Visit to Jakarta, 6-8 July
The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has prepared traffic arrangements during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Jakarta from Monday (6/7) to Wednesday (8/7). “Indonesia is receiving a state visit from the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, His Excellency Narendra Modi, and a series of state events will be held from Monday to Wednesday, 6 to 8 July 2026, from 17.00 WIB until completion,” said Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Brigadier General Komarudin. Komarudin stated that the state guest’s convoy will traverse 12 roads: Jalan Raya Halim Perdanakusuma, Jalan MT Haryono, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Jalan Dr. Ide Anak Agung Gde Agung, Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Prof Satrio, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Gatot Subroto, and Jalan Gerbang Pemuda. “Several protocol roads will be used by the state guest’s entourage,” Komarudin said. He noted that closures on these protocol roads will only be implemented when the state guest’s convoy is passing. “Road closures will only be carried out when the state guest’s convoy passes,” he added. Information regarding the traffic management during the Indian PM’s visit was also uploaded to the Instagram account @tmcpoldametro. The post advised motorists who will be travelling on these 12 roads to use alternative routes. “Fellow road users who will be passing the above routes are advised to anticipate travel time or use alternative routes,” the post stated.
