Police to Implement Situational Traffic Diversions During President's State Address
The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya has prepared a situational traffic diversion scheme around the Parliament Complex of the DPR/MPR RI in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Friday (14/8). This measure is being taken to anticipate potential vehicle congestion during the State Address delivered by President Prabowo Subianto.
Deputy Director of Traffic (Wadirlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Arif Fazlurrahman, urged the public to anticipate potential vehicle build-up in the area from the morning onwards.
“We urge road users to anticipate potential traffic congestion around the Senayan area. The President’s State Address is scheduled to take place from 08.00 WIB until completion,” said Arif in Jakarta on Friday (14/8).
Arif explained that the implementation of traffic management and diversion around the Senayan area is situational, adjusting to vehicle volume and dynamics on the ground.
To keep public mobility smooth, the police are asking road users to adjust their departure times and utilise alternative routes.
“We ask road users to adjust their travel times, utilise alternative routes, and most importantly comply with the directions of our officers in the field for the safety and smooth flow of everyone,” said Arif.
He also emphasised the importance of safe driving and compliance with applicable traffic regulations for all road users.
To make it easier for the public to plan their journeys, Polda Metro Jaya provides regular traffic condition updates through the official social media channels of Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya.
Meanwhile, the Secretariat General (Setjen) of the MPR RI has confirmed that all preparations ahead of the 2026 Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI, held on Friday, have proceeded smoothly, in a coordinated manner, and optimally.
