JAKARTA — The Indonesian National Police (Polri) will hold a personnel roll call for Operation Ketupat 2026 at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
“Tomorrow at approximately 4.00 p.m. West Indonesian Time, a personnel roll call will be conducted at the Monas field. It is scheduled to be led by the National Police Chief as the roll call commander,” said Irjen Johnny Eddizon Isir, Chief of the Police Public Relations Division, at the Police Public Relations Division building in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
Isir stated that the personnel roll call serves as the final stage to ensure readiness for securing the flow of Eid holiday travellers heading home and returning to the cities.
Operation Ketupat 2026 will run for two weeks, from 13-25 March 2026.
Isir noted that 161,243 combined personnel have been deployed for this Eid holiday security operation.
Polri has also prepared 2,476 security posts at various strategic locations, comprising 1,624 security posts, 779 service posts, and 343 integrated posts.
“In total, there are 185,544 protected facilities, consisting of places of worship (mosques), Eid prayer locations, tourist attractions, shopping centres, migration points, ports, terminals, railway stations, and airports,” Isir continued.
Previously, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo had introduced the Operation Ketupat 2026 tagline: “Safe Exodus, Happy Families”.
“Our tagline this time is ‘Safe Exodus and Happy Families’. Of course, we prioritise preemptive and preventive measures. We will keep law enforcement at a minimum so that this truly becomes humanitarian service,” said Sigit during an inter-agency coordination meeting at the Mutiara Auditorium, STIK-PTIK, Jakarta on Monday, 2 March 2026.
