Police to Exhume Body of Sutrimo, Investigate Identity of Kejagung Staff Febrio
Administrative staff at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung), Febrio Adiono, has been named as one of the people who transported the body of Sutrimo, a man who died in front of the Mordent Aesthetic Clinic in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Police will now investigate Febrio’s identity.
“This will be investigated further (whether or not Febrio is a Kejagung employee),” said Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, when contacted by journalists on Sunday (9/8/2026).
Sutrimo’s death has been reported to the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri). The report states that Sutrimo died under unnatural circumstances.
“Indeed, yesterday we received information that a complainant or member of the public reported to Bareskrim Polri regarding the death of Mr S, which was considered unnatural,” he said.
Budi said the complainant has asked investigators to carry out an exhumation of Sutrimo’s body, which is the process of digging up or removing a body from its grave by the authorities. Police will carry out the exhumation of Sutrimo’s body soon.
“It will be expedited (the exhumation) to determine the cause of death,” he said.
Budi said his team will first examine the doctor at Muhamadiyah Taman Puring Hospital who initially handled Sutrimo’s body next week. According to him, this is a re-summons because the doctor was previously absent from the examination.
“So the police investigation is expected to carry out the exhumation. We will provide updates on the report in stages,” said Budi.
“Next week we will still summon the doctor from Muhammadiyah Hospital who first handled the patient when he arrived at the hospital,” he added.
Kejagung Confirms Febrio is an Employee
The identity of Febrio as an administrative staff member at the Attorney General’s Office was confirmed by the Head of the Attorney General’s Office Public Relations, Anang Supriatna. During a doorstop session with journalists on Friday (7/8), Anang confirmed that Febrio works at the Attorney General’s Office.
“The person named Febrio, as far as we know, is indeed a prosecutor’s office employee, but not a prosecutor, a prosecutor’s office employee,” said Anang when answering journalists’ questions about whether Febrio was an aide to former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah.
Anang then explained that Febrio was also an aide to former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah. After Febrie became embroiled in a money laundering (TPPU) case, Febrio now only serves as administrative staff.
“He is his (Febrie’s) staff. Yes (Febrie’s staff). (Currently) a regular staff member. No (he is not assisting other prosecutor’s office officials),” said Anang.
Regarding Sutrimo, Anang admitted he did not know him at all, especially concerning Sutrimo’s status, which has been mentioned as the head of the guard house (Karumga) for Febrie.
“I do not know the person referred to as Karumga, I do not know him at all, and he is not a member of the prosecutor’s office. So I have no right to comment on that,” he added.
For information, Sutrimo was a man who died with foam coming from his mouth in front of the Mordent Aesthetic Clinic in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. His death remains a mystery to this day.
The cause of Sutrimo’s death is still being investigated by the police. Meanwhile, on social media, Sutrimo has been widely referred to as the head of household (karumga) of former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah.
