The Metro Jaya Regional Police are scheduled to announce the results of the exhumation of the remains of Sutrimo—a man identified as a former worker at the residence of former Head of Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah—on Wednesday (30/9).

Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Kombes Budi Hermanto, stated that the announcement will follow coordination between investigators and medico-legal forensic doctors. “It has been communicated; a press conference is planned for tomorrow,” Budi told reporters in Jakarta on Tuesday (29/9).

Furthermore, Budi explained that the family of the late Sutrimo has been invited to hear the exhumation results. “The family has been invited, and we will await the results together,” he said.

Previously, the Metro Jaya Regional Police conducted the exhumation of Sutrimio’s remains in Wlahar Village, Wangon District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, on Wednesday (12/8). The exhumation was carried out as part of the investigation process to obtain medical and scientific evidence to uncover the mysterious cause of death. At the time, Budi explained that the activity was a collaboration between the Metro Jaya Regional Police, the Central Java Regional Police, and the Banyumas City Police.

During the investigation, police have examined 27 witnesses to provide statements regarding the mysterious death of Sutrimo. These witnesses include two P3D ambulance drivers, two ambulance drivers who transported the victim from the scene to Muhammadiyah Hospital, two ambulance drivers who transported him from Muhammadiyah Hospital to Banyumas, and one additional ambulance driver.

Additionally, the witnesses include three hospital personnel (two security officers and one doctor), two mortuary attendants, seven witnesses from the vicinity of the incident, three members of the deceased’s family, one friend of the deceased, one village official, and three parties related to the report at the Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri).

Budi noted that investigators are currently awaiting forensic laboratory results, including the examination of tissues, DNA, and any substances found.

On the other hand, the former Head of Special Crimes at the Attorney General’s Office, Febrie Adriansyah, has denied information claiming that Sutrimo served as a Head of Household (Karumga).

Firman Wijaya, part of Febrie’s legal team, stated that Sutrimo’s primary duty was to guard the vacant house where he resided. He added that Sutrimo frequently returned to his hometown or took on other jobs, meaning he was not continuously employed by Febrie. “Therefore, the deceased’s position was not as a Head of Household as widely reported, but rather as someone guarding the vacant house and living there,” Firman stated in a recent briefing.
