Police Summon Contractor in Investigation of Child's Death in Tebet Project Hole

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Police have summoned the contractor and are examining a number of witnesses to investigate the death of a four-year-old boy, identified by the initial I, who fell into a construction pit for a multi-purpose sports field in the Manggarai area of Tebet, South Jakarta. He stated that his team had examined a number of witnesses and the contractor regarding the pit that resulted in the death of a toddler in South Jakarta. The construction pit was intended to be the foundation for a planned futsal pitch. Regarding the possibility of negligence, Ischak said the case is being handled by the Women and Children Protection Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police. “The incident is being followed up by the South Jakarta Police, specifically the PPA function,” he said. The pit has now been covered to prevent further unwanted incidents, and the police have sealed off the crime scene for further investigation. The boy, identified by the initial I (4), died after being trapped for approximately four hours in the construction pit in Manggarai, Tebet, South Jakarta. The victim was successfully evacuated alive but his life could not be saved on the way to the hospital.
