Police Still Gathering Evidence on Jusuf Kalla's Report Against Rismon

The Directorate of General Criminal Acts (Dittipidum) at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency is still in the process of gathering evidence related to the report by Indonesia’s 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK), against digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar over alleged dissemination of false news.

“Regarding Jusuf Kalla, we already clarified yesterday. We are still gathering evidence,” said the Director of General Criminal Acts (Dirtipidum) at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Pol. Wira Satya Triputra, in Jakarta on Friday.

He also stated that his side has examined witnesses and has not yet summoned the reported parties in this case, namely Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, the owner of the YouTube account @stusiomusikrockciamis, and the owner of the Facebook account named 1922 Pusat Madiun.

Regarding the handling of digital evidence in this report, he said that Dittipidum would coordinate with the Directorate of Cyber Criminal Acts (Dittipidsiber) at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency.

“For the digital evidence, we will coordinate with the Cyber Directorate later because they specialise in handling such evidence; we will coordinate accordingly,” he said.

Previously, JK reported digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar to the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency over accusations of funding reports on the authenticity of the diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo.

The report by JK was received by the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency under number LP/B/135/IV/SPKT Bareskrim Polri dated Wednesday, 8 April 2026.

The reported parties are Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, the owner of the YouTube account @stusiomusikrockciamis, and the owner of the Facebook account named 1922 Pusat Madiun.

The alleged criminal acts reported include broadcasting or disseminating news or reporting that is reasonably suspected to be false and/or defamation and/or defamation of name as referred to in Article 263 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 434 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 433 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code and/or Article 27A in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph (4) of Law Number 1 of 2024 on the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
