Police state that Azizah Salsha and Resbob-Bigmo agree to settle

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate of Cyber Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency has stated that Nurul Azizah Rosiade, or Azizah Salsha, the daughter of politician Andre Rosiade, and YouTubers Resbob and Bigmo have agreed to settle amicably in the alleged defamation case.

The decision to settle was reached through mediation after the police named Resbob and Bigmo as suspects in the alleged defamation case in the digital space against Azizah Salsha.

“There has been a peaceful mediation,” said Head of Subdirectorate I of the Cyber Crime Directorate at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Commissioner Rizki Agung Prakoso, in Jakarta on Friday.

He said the mediation took place on Monday (13/4). “The mediation at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency was on Monday last week, involving Azizah and Bigmo,” he added.

With the amicable agreement, Azizah Salsha’s side will no longer pursue legal proceedings against Resbob and Bigmo.

Previously, Azizah Salsha reported the owners of the TikTok account @ibaratbradpitt and the YouTube account @niceguymo, namely Resbob (Adimas Firdaus) and Bigmo (Muhammad Jannah), for alleged slander.

The siblings were reported under Article 45 paragraphs (4) and (6) in conjunction with Article 27A of Law Number 1 of 2024 on the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) and/or Article 310 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code.

The report was filed after the two uploaded a video on YouTube discussing Azizah Salsha’s personal life.

Currently, Resbob is undergoing legal proceedings after being charged with a criminal offence for spreading hate speech against the Sunda ethnic group through a live broadcast on social media.
