Police State Case of Green SM Taxi Hit by KRL Elevated to Investigation Stage

Police have stated that the case of the accident involving the Green SM electric taxi hit by a KRL train on the Cikarang-Jakarta route has been elevated to the investigation stage. The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, said that the case is now being handled by the Subdit Kamneg of the Direktorat Reserse Kriminal Umum. “It is being handled by the Subdit Kamneg of Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, and it has been elevated to the investigation stage,” he told reporters on Thursday (30/4). In this case, Budi said that investigators have carried out crime scene processing and in-depth analysis of CCTV footage around the location. He added that examinations of witnesses, including the taxi driver with initials RRP, have also been conducted. “And the taxi has been made an evidentiary item,” he explained. Through this elevation of status, it means that investigators have found indications of criminal violations in the case. Nevertheless, Budi said that investigators still need to conduct further deepenings to fully clarify the matter in question. “This means we are also still deepening regarding the witnesses and the direction of the criminal aspect in this handling process. Therefore, further deepening is necessary,” he stated. In this case, he said, Polda Metro Jaya is also being assisted by the Forensic Laboratory Centre of Mabes Polri to examine the cause, whether this accident was due to the electrical system or a disruption in communication signals. “Well, this is still being delved into because the incident only happened a few days ago,” he concluded.
