Police Seize Over Half a Million Illegal Tramadol Pills Worth More Than IDR 3 Billion
Police have seized more than half a million illegal potent prescription drugs (OKT) over the past ten days. The drugs were obtained from 36 suspects and 29 cases uncovered within the jurisdiction of the Cimahi Police, which covers Cimahi City, West Bandung Regency (KBB), and Margaasih.
The evidence seized from 1 to 10 August 2026 was presented and witnessed directly by elements of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of Cimahi City and West Bandung on Monday at the Cimahi Police Headquarters. “We underline that this amount of OKT is quite significant for a 10-day operation, totalling 506,116 pills, or half a million pills. The details consist of Tramadol, Trihex, Hexymer, Double Y, and DMP,” said Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Moh. Faruk Rozi.
Of the total cases of illegal drug distribution uncovered, the largest seizure was made by the Cimahi Police Narcotics Investigation Unit at a rented house used as a storage warehouse in Andir, Bandung City, where 100,000 pills were confiscated. Police also arrested suspect MN (23) at the location. Another warehouse was located in Margaasih, Bandung Regency, where officers seized 300,000 pills and arrested suspects RM (21) and FF (23). The circulation of these potent pharmaceuticals has become a serious concern for the Forkopimda elements of Cimahi City and West Bandung Regency. The remaining pills were obtained from other suspects.
