Police seize drug stash

MEDAN, North Sumatra (JP): Seven Medan residents have been arrested for allegedly distributing cocain and shabu-shabu, a form of low-grade heroin, police said on Thursday.

Police raided several suspected drug dealer hideouts and were able to haul in 10 grams of cocain and several grams of shabu- shabu packed in seven small packages.

The two packets of cocain were allegedly seized from one of the suspects, identified as RM, who claimed to have acquired it at Belawan Port from a fugitive.

The head of the city's vice control unit, First Lt. Maruli Siahaan, said police had yet to trace where the seized drugs had come from. (21)
