A drug bust conducted by the Narcotics Investigation Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) in East Lombok resulted in the seizure of 818.691 grammes of methamphetamine. However, the owner of the contraband escaped and is now being pursued by police.

The raid was carried out at a suspect’s residence in Paokmotong Village, Masbagik District, East Lombok. When officers arrived, the owner of the methamphetamine fled the scene.

“When the raid was conducted, the person in question fled. Therefore, only the evidence was secured,” said Ditresnarkoba Polda NTB Commander Kombes Roman Smaradhana Elhaj on Thursday (26 February 2026).

From a bedroom in the house, police discovered 13 packets of methamphetamine with a total weight of 818.691 grammes.

“The evidence we secured consists of 13 packets of methamphetamine weighing 818.691 grammes,” he said.

Police have identified the methamphetamine’s owner as Edi Irawan Zen (30), a resident of Paokmotong Village, Masbagik District, East Lombok. Although not yet apprehended, Edi has been designated as a suspect and placed on the most-wanted list (DPO).

“We will continue to pursue the perpetrator and suspect,” he stated.

Roman said investigators have not yet determined the intended distribution plan for the methamphetamine or whether Edi is part of an inter-provincial trafficking network.

“It is not yet known. Once he is arrested, we will be able to determine that,” he concluded.
