Police Seize 74 kg of Gold and Hundreds of Billions in Cash from Sentul Home in Corruption Probe
A joint investigation by the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Metro Jaya Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate has uncovered a massive haul of evidence. Following the earlier seizure of tens of billions of rupiah from Cafe de’CLAN Signature and a Koin Money Changer in South Jakarta, investigators discovered 74 kilograms of gold and an estimated hundreds of billions of rupiah in cash at a house in the Sentul area of Bogor Regency. Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, confirmed the findings. “It is true. From the search of a house in Sentul,” he stated on Thursday, 9 July 2026. He noted that the gold weighed approximately 74 kilograms, while the exact amount of cash seized was still being counted by investigators. “The estimate is hundreds of billions,” he added. The investigation continues to expand, with police confirming that a total of 12 locations have been searched across Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Bogor.
