Jakarta — Police conducted a raid in Megamendung District, Bogor, West Java, seizing 50 bottles of illegal alcohol.

“During this operation, storm circle patrols were carried out, targeting and anticipating public order disturbances,” said Megamendung Sector Police Chief of Bogor Police Resort, AKP Desi Triana, on Monday (16/2/2026).

The raid was launched on Saturday (14/2) and will continue through to the approach of Ramadan. He said the operation involved local sub-district government elements.

“The targets include anticipating young people gathering or loitering on roadsides, anticipating brawl perpetrators and motorcycle gangs, and anticipating theft, robbery and vehicle theft,” he explained.

The raid also targeted illegal alcoholic beverages, gambling and prostitution in the area. Advisories were also issued to restaurant and eatery owners.

“Restaurants operating 24 hours have been advised that during the holy month of Ramadan, they may open from 4:00 PM Western Indonesian Time,” he added.

As a result, 50 bottles of various alcohol brands were seized. The alcohol was confiscated from a number of shops that lacked the legal permits to sell such products.

“Megamendung Sector Police successfully secured 50 bottles of various brands from four locations,” he said.

He called on the community to play an active role in maintaining security in their neighbourhoods. Desi urged residents to report any incidents that could potentially disrupt public safety.

“Megamendung Sector Police is always open and ready to assist, and will take firm action against anyone proven to have violated the law,” he concluded.
