Police seize 1 kg of 'shabu-shabu'

JAKARTA (JP): Police seized over one kilogram of shabu-shabu
(crystal methamphetamine) worth Rp 240 million (US$21,000), and
about 1,100 ecstasy pills from three suspects in two separate
raids conducted on Thursday.

The first raid was in the parking lot of the Cleopatra
discotheque in Sunter, North Jakarta, where two people,
Budi Wijaya, 41, and Petrus Apollo, 28, were apprehended for
possessing 200 grams of shabu-shabu, North Jakarta Police chief
of detectives Sr. Comr. Andi Chaeruddin said.

The suspects said they received the drugs from Mocha Achyar,
alias Lolo, 39, which led police to search Lolo's residence on
Jl. Pegangsaan Barat in Cikini, Central Jakarta.

Lolo was arrested at 9 p.m. on Thursday, and 945 grams of
shabu-shabu, and over 1,100 ecstasy pills were confiscated from
the suspect's home. (ylt)
