Police Seize 1,134 Bottles of Illegal Alcohol in Ciseeng, Bogor Raid

Police have conducted a raid on illegal alcohol in the Ciseeng district of Bogor, West Java. Thousands of bottles of illicit liquor were seized during the operation. “In order to create a safe and conducive situation of public security and order, Parung Police carried out enhanced police activities targeting the circulation of illegal alcoholic beverages,” said Parung Police Chief, Kompol Maman Firmansyah, on Saturday (11/7/2026). The raid was carried out on Friday (10/7) evening until the early hours of the morning. Police visited a storage and sales location for the illegal alcohol on Jalan Raya Ciseeng-Gunung Sindur. “From the inspection results, officers managed to secure a total of 1,134 bottles of illegal alcoholic beverages,” he revealed. Maman stated the alcohol seized by police consisted of 714 bottles of unbranded and unlabelled ‘ciu’ and 420 bottles of unbranded and unlabelled Balinese ‘arak’. “In addition to the evidence, officers also detained a man with the initials D (50) who is suspected of possessing and trading the illegal alcoholic beverages,” he disclosed. He said D was taken into custody and brought to the police station for further investigation. The raid, he said, is one measure to prevent various potential disturbances such as criminal acts, brawls, illegal street racing, gang fights, and other public order disruptions often triggered by the consumption of illegal alcohol. “We will continue to take action against all forms of illegal alcohol distribution as part of our efforts to maintain public security and order,” he asserted. “We also urge the public not to produce, distribute, or consume illegal alcoholic beverages and to immediately report any similar activities in their respective neighbourhoods,” Maman added.
