Police Seek Clarification from Doctor Following Viral Photos of Sutrimo's Death
The Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) have confirmed that they have issued a clarification summons to the doctor at Muhammadiyah Taman Puring Hospital who handled the body of Sutrimo. The Head of Public Relations for Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, stated that this clarification is necessary to establish the true chronology and facts regarding Sutrimo’s death.
“Investigators have sent an invitation for clarification to the examining doctor. We will delve deeper into the process,” he said during a press conference on Friday. He added that the clarification is also expected to address the mystery surrounding photos circulating on social media, which depict an individual believed to be Sutrimo with foam around the mouth and nose. “You may have seen the circulating photos, but we must clarify whether that was the initial condition and whether the individual is indeed the deceased, Mr S.”
Previously, a man named Sutrimo passed away on Thursday, 23 July. He was found unconscious in the courtyard of the Mordent Clinic in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, and was subsequently transported to Muhammadiyah Taman Puring Hospital via ambulance. The hospital reported that Sutrimo arrived already deceased. Kombes Budi Hermanto noted that the police are currently gathering information and conducting clarifications with the family, the ambulance driver, hospital staff, and other witnesses. The deceased is reportedly the head of the household for the former Deputy Head of the Special Crimes Division (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General’s Office, Febrie Adriansyah. The police are continuing to investigate the victim’s background.
