Police search for mini bus attackers
JAKARTA (JP): The City Police are still searching for two people who attacked a mini bus driver, Hadi Santoso, on Dec. 7 in the Ciputat area, South Jakarta.
The City Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Bambang Haryoko told Antara on Tuesday that one of the attackers has a military hair cut while the other one has long hair.
According to Capt. Syaiful, Hadi was driving his mini bus on the Ciputat-Munjul route, South Jakarta, at around 11 p.m. when two of his last passengers forced him to take them to Prumpung area in East Jakarta.
Because Hadi refused the two passenger's demand, they took the mini bus by force and started to assault Hadi. When the mini bus passed Bojong village in Sawangan, South Jakarta, Hadi screamed and mobile police officers picked up his cry of distress.
The assailants then ran and left the mini bus when they saw that one of the police officers was following the bus.
A gun left by one of the passengers is being investigated by the police in an effort to determine its owner. (mas)
