Police schedule Ruben Onsu examination for Friday

South Jakarta Metropolitan Police investigators have scheduled the examination of Ruben Onsu as a suspect in an alleged fraud and embezzlement case for Friday (28/8).

“The summons for the suspect’s examination is Friday, 28 August 2026,” said South Jakarta Metropolitan Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Iskandarsyah to journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday.

However, it cannot yet be confirmed whether Ruben Onsu will attend the examination or not.

The case began when Ruben offered the victim, DM, the opportunity to invest in a product trading business.

“I will explain the chronology: the reported party (Ruben) has a business and then offered the victim the opportunity to invest their funds,” said Iskandarsyah.

However, by the specified deadline, the victim had not received the profits that had been promised.

The total loss suffered by the victim in the case is estimated to reach Rp3.5 billion.

Previously, South Jakarta Metropolitan Police Public Relations Head AKP Joko Adi explained that the case had progressed to the investigation stage since 25 April 2026 after investigators examined six witnesses, including experts.

Afterwards, police conducted a case review and named Ruben Onsu as a suspect.

“A few days ago, a case review was conducted, and the participants in the case review agreed that the reported party, RSO, should have their status changed to suspect,” said Joko.
