Police sayt cleric hides Azahari and Noordin
SURABAYA: Police accused on Wednesday Muhammad Saifuddin Umar, 38, alias Abu Fida, a terrorist suspect arrested on August 4, of hiding two fugitive terrorists -- Azahari bin Husin and Noordin Moh Top -- for two months in June and July.
East Java police spokesman Sr. Comr. Endro Wardoyo said on Wednesday that Saifuddin had admitted to investigators that he and several other students of Ma'had Aly Islamic school had been trained by the two Marriott bombing suspects to become suicide bombers.
"Some of the students have cooperated with Azahari and Noordin in many bombing plans across the country, including Bandung, Surabaya and Jakarta. They even have written out their last will and testament addressed to their parents if they are killed in action," said Endro. Antara
