Police Say Suspects in Three Corruption Cases to Be Announced Later

Police have stated that no suspects have been named yet in three corruption cases currently being investigated by the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipidkor) and the Metro Jaya Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate. “The suspects will be announced at a later stage,” said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, on Friday, 10 July 2026. The joint investigation into three alleged corruption and money laundering cases is continuing. After targeting 12 locations, investigators searched another shop house on Jalan Asem II, Cipete Selatan, South Jakarta, marking the thirteenth search location. The search, which took place from Thursday, 9 July, into the early hours of Friday, 10 July 2026, is an extension of a series of investigations previously conducted at several locations in Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Bogor. Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto stated that the location was identified after investigators examined a number of witnesses and held a case conference. “We can confirm that this search at the thirteenth location is part of the preceding series of investigative activities,” Budi told reporters.
