Police Say Suspects in Three Corruption Cases to Be Announced Later

Jakarta, VIVA – Police have stated that no suspects have yet been named in three corruption cases currently under investigation by the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortas Tipidkor) and the Special Crimes Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.

“The suspects will be announced at the next stage,” said Chief of Public Relations at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Grand Commissioner Budi Hermanto, on Friday, 10 July 2026.

As previously reported, the joint investigation by the National Police Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor) and the Special Crimes Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police into three cases of alleged corruption and money laundering continues.

After targeting twelve locations, investigators again searched a shophouse on Jalan Asem II, Cipete Selatan, South Jakarta, which became the thirteenth search location.

The search, which took place from Thursday, 9 July into the early hours of Friday, 10 July 2026, was an extension of a series of investigations previously carried out at a number of locations in Jakarta, South Tangerang and Bogor.

Chief of Public Relations at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Grand Commissioner Budi Hermanto, said the location was identified after investigators examined a number of witnesses and reviewed the case files.

“We can confirm that this thirteenth search is part of the series of investigative activities conducted previously,” Budi told journalists on Friday, 10 July 2026.
