National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has rotated 146 middle-ranking and high-ranking officers within the Indonesian National Police (Polri). This latest mutation includes the promotion of four female officers (Polwan).

The rotation of middle and high-ranking officers is detailed in telegram letters numbered ST/1584/VII/KEP./2026 and ST/1585/VII/KEP./202, dated 30 July 2026. The four female officers promoted are Brigadier General dr. National Police Spokesperson, Inspector General Johnny Edison Isir, stated that these mutations and rotations are part of the organisational dynamics of the Indonesian National Police. The move is intended for organisational refreshment, career development, and the optimisation of duty execution.

“Mutation and rotation are common in the dynamics of the Indonesian National Police organisation. This is part of personnel career development as well as an effort to refresh and strengthen the organisation so that the execution of policing duties can become increasingly optimal,” said Inspector General Johnny Edison Isir in a statement on Friday.

Furthermore, Isir noted that of the 146 personnel mutated, 105 received promotions or lateral transfers. Specifically, one personnel member, Brigadier General Pol Untung Widyatmoko, has been appointed as the Head of International Relations (Kadivhubinter Polri). The breakdown includes four personnel promoted to Inspector General (IB/Irjen), 24 to Brigadier General (IIA/Brigjen), 48 to Senior Commissioner (IIB/Kombes), one to Chief of City Police (IIB/Kapolrestabes), 12 to Superintendent (IIIA1/AKBP), and 11 to Police Chief (IIIA2/Kapolres).

In addition to promotions and lateral transfers, the mutation includes six personnel completing training, one personnel commencing training, seven personnel being reassigned, and 23 personnel entering retirement.

Isir expressed hope that every officer entrusted with a new position will perform their duties professionally and with integrity, urging them to remain accountable. “We hope that all personnel entrusted with new positions can adapt quickly and perform their duties to the best of their ability. Every position is a mandate that must be carried out professionally, with integrity, and with full responsibility to provide the best service to the community,” he said.
