Police Rotate 108 Officers: Commissioner General Panca Putra Appointed as Head of Education and Training, 9 Regional Police Chiefs Replaced

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has carried out a rotation and mutation of positions for 108 High-Ranking Officers (Pati) and Mid-Level Officers (Pamen) of Polri, as stipulated in Police Chief Telegram Number: ST/960/V/KEP./2026 dated 7 May 2026.

Of that number, 91 personnel are included in the category of promotions and flat positions.

The mutations cover several strategic positions at Polri Headquarters (Mabes Polri) as well as regional ones.

For Principal Officials (PJU) at Mabes Polri, one personnel has been assigned as Head of Education and Training (Kalemdiklat) of Polri, namely Commissioner General Panca Putra.

The mutations also affect the positions of Police Resort Chiefs (Kapolres) in metropolitan and major city jurisdictions, namely Depok Metropolitan Police Resort Chief Commissioner Christian Rony Putra and Pangkal Pinang Regional Police Resort Chief Commissioner Indra Wijatmiko.

In the mutation, Polri also recorded promotions for 16 personnel to the Inspector General rank, three personnel experiencing flat positions at the Inspector General level, 43 personnel promoted to Brigadier General, and 16 personnel promoted to Senior Commissioner with details of IIB1 levelling for 12 personnel, IIB2 levelling for three personnel, and IIB3 levelling for one personnel.

In addition to promotions and position rotations, this mutation also includes three personnel completing their education and 14 personnel entering retirement.

Head of Polri’s Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir stated that the position mutation is part of the career development process and organisational strengthening within Polri.

“Position mutations and rotations are natural in the Polri organisation. This is part of career development, organisational refreshment, and efforts to enhance personnel professionalism in facing increasingly dynamic task challenges,” said Johnny in his statement on Saturday (9/5/2026).
