| Source: TEMPO_ID Translated from Indonesian | Social Policy

The involvement of the police in the food self-sufficiency programme has elicited varied responses from the public. A Tempo Data Science (TDS) survey indicates that only 33.6 per cent of respondents were aware of the police’s role in the programme. Among those who were aware, 53.4 per cent rated the police’s performance in the programme as good. However, only 43 per cent of respondents deemed the involvement appropriate, while 29.2 per cent held the opposite view. These findings demonstrate differing public opinions regarding the expansion of the police’s role beyond its primary functions.
