Police Reveal Uncle's Devious Tactics in Raping Niece in Bekasi

Police have revealed the devious tactics used by a 42-year-old man, identified by the initial W, to rape his own niece in Bekasi Regency, West Java. The perpetrator would show the victim pornographic videos and lure her with money.

“The modus operandi is that before the obscene acts and or intercourse were carried out by the suspect, the suspect showed the victim pornographic videos and always lured the victim with promises, as well as giving food and money after the victim was assaulted by the suspect,” said Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Ikhlas Putro Wasono, during a press conference at his office on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

He added that the perpetrator also manipulated the victim with words. These statements were consistently made by the perpetrator when carrying out his depraved acts.

“The suspect also promised the victim by saying, ‘Don’t worry, if anything happens, I will take responsibility, I will pull out.’ That is what the suspect always said to the victim before the intercourse,” he stated.

Meanwhile, police have arrested one perpetrator, the 42-year-old man with the initial W, who is the victim’s uncle. Two other perpetrators, another uncle and the victim’s biological father, are still at large.

It was previously reported that a 21-year-old woman was raped by her uncles and her biological father in Bekasi Regency. The victim had been subjected to abuse since she was 12 years old.

“At the time of the incident, we explain that the sexual violence experienced by this victim began in 2017. At that time, the victim was in the 6th grade of elementary school, or around 12 years old,” said the Bekasi Metro Police Chief.

“So at that time, the violence experienced was still in the form of molestation, intercourse had not yet occurred,” he added.

He stated that the victim was first raped by the perpetrator in July 2019. The victim is now 22 years old.

“The first time the victim experienced intercourse was in July 2019 and it continued until the last time around February 2024, meaning the victim experienced this sexual violence for around 7 years,” he concluded.
