Police reveal that the killer of a Bantul Joxzin member had been questioned before arrest

Police described how two suspects in the murder of a Joxzin member in Kaliurang, Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul were captured. The officers said the suspects were cooperative and complied with a summons to Polsek Sedayu. Bantul Police Public Relations Head Iptu Rita Hidayanto said that after investigations, including witness interviews and CCTV footage analysis, police had secured the identities of the suspects. ‘After that, the two suspects were asked to come to Polsek Sedayu,’ she told detikJogja on Thursday (5/3/2026). They did not attempt to flee; they arrived at approximately 04:00 WIB. Upon arrival, police interrogated them and they confessed to their actions. ‘Coincidentally, they were cooperative and after questioning they admitted their guilt,’ she said. She emphasised they did not surrender, but answered the police summons, given that police had secured their identities and addresses. Earlier reports stated that the suspects were arrested in Sedayu this morning. The two suspects are SS (29) and FS (22), both residents of Gamping, Sleman. ‘SS’s role was as the executor and has been named as a suspect; FS’s role was as the person who rode with SS; FS is currently being questioned,’ she added.
