Police Reveal Origins of Raid on New Star Club and Delona Vista in Denpasar

The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) has revealed the origins of the raids and the uncovering of narcotics distribution at three night entertainment venues on the Island of the Gods. The three nightclubs raided by the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) were New Star Club, N CO Living by NIX, and Delona Vista Denpasar.

Bali Police Narcotics Directorate Head, Senior Commissioner Radiant, explained that the raids on the three night venues began with the seizure of thousands of ecstasy pills at Gilimanuk Port on Saturday (31/1). Radiant stated that the thousands of ecstasy pills were intended for distribution to those locations.

“When we conducted the seizure at Gilimanuk, approximately 5,000 pills, those were meant to be distributed to those places. To those targets, that is the same as our targets,” Radiant said during a press conference at Bali Police Headquarters on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

From the seizure at Gilimanuk, police then mapped out points suspected to be targets for ecstasy distribution. According to Radiant, the mapping results by Polda Bali aligned with the operation targets also being pursued by Bareskrim Polri.

“The action taken by Bareskrim was something we had coordinated on. There are targets and objectives to be addressed, and those targets are the same as ours,” Radiant said.

“So there was already communication. We are jointly eradicating narcotics in areas potentially involved in drug distribution, whether in cafes or night entertainment venues,” he added.

Radiant explained that the distribution and use of narcotics in Bali shows an increasing trend. This is evident from several recent drug network busts conducted by the Bali Police Narcotics Directorate.

“If we look at the development from the data, we can see that drug distribution issues and drug use are continuously increasing,” Radiant said.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri raided three night entertainment venues in Bali suspected to be locations for narcotics distribution. The first location was New Star Club, raided on 15 March 2026. From there, police secured hundreds of ecstasy pills and several parties suspected to be involved.

Bareskrim then raided N CO Living by NIX and Delona Vista KTV on 2 April 2026. The three nightclubs were subsequently cordoned off by police for the purposes of further investigation.
