Police Reveal New Facts About Family Photo Seized During Sentul House Raid
A series of searches were conducted by the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya together with the Corruption Eradication Corps of the National Police in connection with three corruption cases. Evidence seized from several locations included various foreign currencies and rupiah, dozens of gold bars, and a family photograph. In a press conference at Polda Metro Jaya, the Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that the photo was seized during a house search in the Sentul area, Bogor, West Java. ‘And the evidence includes two framed family photos,’ he said on Friday, 10 July 2026. However, Budi was reluctant to discuss the family photo further. He mentioned that the photo could not be displayed due to privacy reasons. ‘We have stated that the photo will not be shown because there are privacy matters we must protect. The photo contains a family, and we must also protect the family and other parties,’ he said. In this case, around 15 people have been examined as witnesses. Budi only mentioned that the announcement of suspects would be made in the near future. ‘Not tonight, but in the near future we will announce the suspects in the case handled by the joint investigation, by Kortastipidkor and Polda Metro Jaya,’ Budi stated. It was previously reported that police are still investigating the discovery of a family photo during a search of a house in the Parahyangan Golf 2 area, Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java. The photo was found along with other evidence, including 74 kilograms of gold bars and cash in various currencies with an estimated value of Rp476 billion. The Head of the Corruption Eradication Corps of the National Police, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, said investigators have not yet been able to conclude the connection of the findings as the investigation is still ongoing. ‘It is currently being investigated, please give us time,’ Totok said at Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday, 9 July 2026.
