Police Reveal More Locations to be Searched in Three Corruption Cases

The Indonesian National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Metro Jaya Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) are continuing searches related to three corruption cases. Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that the investigation is ongoing and that additional locations will be searched as the process develops. “In this process, there will be other witnesses, including other points where searches will be conducted. We will certainly inform you,” he said on Friday, 10 July 2026. Budi explained that the investigation is still progressing dynamically and that investigators need time to complete the process. Previously, joint personnel conducted searches at a cafe and a money changer in the Cipete area of South Jakarta, as well as a house in Bogor, West Java. During these searches, investigators seized evidence including gold bars and foreign currency worth billions of rupiah. The Head of the Police’s Kortastipidkor, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, stated that the searches at the two locations were part of a simultaneous operation across eight sites.
