JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri has revealed that the majority of victims targeted by hundreds of foreign nationals from an online gambling headquarters in the Hayam Wuruk area, West Jakarta, originate from abroad.

“For the victims so far, based on our tracing and analysis, the victims are mostly foreign nationals,” said Director of General Criminal Affairs at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Wira Satya Triputra, during a press conference at the raid location in the Hayam Wuruk area, West Jakarta, on Saturday (9/5/2026).

Wira revealed that investigators arrested 321 foreign nationals in the bust of this international online gambling case.

The foreign nationals had various roles in operating the online gambling sites.

From the in-depth investigation, according to Wira, the customer service section was tasked with finding victims from outside Indonesia.

“Because the telemarketing section, the blasting section from that website, and then the customer service section that seeks new customers, the victims are mostly from abroad,” he said.

Of them, 57 were from China, 228 from Vietnam, 11 from Laos, 13 from Myanmar, 3 from Malaysia, 5 from Thailand, and 3 from Cambodia.

In the raid, investigators seized various pieces of evidence, including safes, passports, mobile phones, laptops, personal computers, and cash in several foreign currencies.
