VIVA – Thousands of police personnel are on standby to secure the decisive title match of Persib Bandung in the 2025/2026 BRI Super League, between Persib Bandung and Persijap Jepara at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA), Bandung, on Saturday, 23 May 2026.

Anticipating post-match activities, taking into account previous experiences where euphoria usually concentrates in the Dago Cikapayang area, said West Java Police’s Ops Chief Kombes Pol. La Ode Aries in Bandung, in a statement received in Bandung.

Aries explained the security pattern in the stadium area will be divided into four rings, spanning from the outer area of the stadium to the entrance of the spectator stands. He noted security personnel will also carry out a sterilisation process to ensure all spectators comply with the regulations.

“Spectators are prohibited from bringing dangerous items such as flares, fireworks or objects that could be thrown into the stadium. In addition, beverages in plastic bottles and cans are not allowed into the stands,” he said.

The West Java Police, together with the organising committee (panpel) and representatives of supporters have agreed on stringent sanctions for spectators found to violate the rules on the field.

“We have reached an agreement with the organisers and Bobotoh that if dangerous items such as flares and items that could be thrown are found, the sanction will be the withdrawal of spectator rights,” he said.

Furthermore, Aries said the police are also limiting stadium capacity to a maximum of around 32,000 spectators or 75 percent of total capacity. Therefore, he urged supporters who do not have official tickets not to force entry to the stadium area.

“As a solution, the local government together with local policing authorities have facilitated viewing points for public watch parties (nobar) located at several sub-district offices and nearby police stations,” he said.

Nobar

Separately, Bandung Regency Government, West Java, has prepared several Nobar points for Persib Bandung to maintain conduciveness amid the high enthusiasm of Bobotoh ahead of the title-deciding match.

Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna said one of the locations is at Dome Bale Rame Soreang, so that the public can enjoy the match safely and orderly without crowding the stadium.
