Jakarta — The Commission for Accelerating Police (Polri) Reform will report the results of its three months of work to President Prabowo Subianto, following his inauguration on 7 November 2025.

Commission member Mahfud MD stated that the team is currently awaiting a meeting schedule with Prabowo.

“Before 7 February, we already sent a letter to the President indicating that we had all completed drafting how the Polri should develop going forward,” Mahfud said in Senen, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

According to him, during the formulation process, the commission gathered various public aspirations through public discussions, podcasts, and visits to several stakeholders.

The various inputs were subsequently formulated into a number of recommendations, ranging from improvement measures that could be implemented immediately, requirements for new regulations, to the possibility of adjusting legislation.

However, the former Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Human Rights emphasised that all recommendations remain confidential until presented to the President.

“After the President receives them, we report, and only after that do they become public property. The commission was formed openly, so the information would become open information to the public. But the disclosure happens after meeting the President,” he added.
