Police Reform Commission Meets 154 Entities Before Reporting Recommendations to Prabowo
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Secretary of the Commission for Accelerating Police Reform (KPRP), Retired Police General Ahmad Dofiri, stated that his team had met with 154 entities before submitting recommendations to President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
All these meetings took place over the three-month working period since the KPRP was inaugurated in November 2025.
“There were approximately 154 entities or groups that we invited,” said Dofiri during a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/5/2026).
Dofiri explained that the KPRP initially only invited parties at the central level.
Due to time constraints, the absorption of aspirations was conducted by dividing regions based on major islands, such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, Bali, and Sulawesi.
“So, in total, there were about 154 entities. We absorbed and gathered all of this, and if you read it here, it’s verbatim,” he said.
In addition to direct meetings with NGOs, community figures, and relevant parties, the KPRP also opened complaint channels via WhatsApp and email.
Dofiri noted that thousands of inputs had been received through these channels.
Various issues highlighted by the public included allegations of fee collection practices in Police recruitment, delays in case handling, collections in police services, and so on.
It is known that the Commission for Accelerating Police Reform reported its work results to President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
