Police receive report of residents' complaints regarding a padel court in South Jakarta

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The police have received a report of residents’ complaints regarding the construction of a padel court that is disrupting the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood on Jalan Kalimaya, Permata Hijau, Blok A/20, RT 05/RW 09, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

“We, from the South Jakarta Police, have received a report forwarded from the Metro Jaya Regional Police and we have accepted it,” said the Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Murodih, to reporters in Jakarta, Thursday.

Murodih said that police officers are currently checking the scene for further investigation. They will also ask for statements from witnesses, including the managers of the padel court.

“We will also ask for statements from witnesses who can provide supporting evidence,” he said.

In the future, they will likely also examine other reports related to complaints about the construction of the padel court.

“If there are reports from the public about this issue, we will follow up on them,” he said.

Previously, residents reported to the police regarding the construction of a padel court that was disrupting the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood on Jalan Kalimaya, Permata Hijau, Blok A/20, RT 05/RW 09, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

On December 25, 2025, the victim noticed that a padel court construction project was underway in front of his house, and the work was often carried out until late at night.

Feeling disturbed, the victim then wrote to the local village head and mediation was carried out. However, the construction project continued at night, even until dawn, thus disturbing the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood.

Due to this incident, the victim felt that he had suffered losses and subsequently reported it to the police.
