Polda Metro Jaya and Bank Mandiri have reactivated the account belonging to Supriyono alias Botok, coordinator of the Pati United Community Alliance (AMPB). The blocking of Botok’s account had previously gone viral and drawn widespread public attention after being deemed unilateral and lacking transparency.

Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirkrimum) of Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, said the police had completed their investigation into the account, which contained funds raised for a demonstration by Pati residents.

“We have obtained legal facts from the relevant parties regarding the donations and the account in question. Subsequently, the suspension of the account can be lifted and it returns to the authority of Bank Mandiri,” he said during a press conference held by House of Representatives Commission III at the DPR Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (26/8/2026).

He said the account suspension was carried out to ensure that the donated funds collected came from sources that did not violate the law. The measure was taken to protect both donors and donation recipients.

The suspension of account transactions, he added, may be carried out for up to five working days as stipulated in Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering.

“Today has not yet reached five working days. However, we moved quickly to ensure that the democratic process and the expression of opinions as regulated by law can also be protected for all members of the public,” he said.
