Police Raid Two LPG Adulteration Sites in Bogor, Seize Hundreds of Cylinders
Police raided two locations involved in LPG adulteration in Cileungsi subdistrict, Bogor, West Java. The raid was a follow-up to an operation conducted earlier in the month.
Cileungsi Police Chief Kompol Edison stated that the raid took place on Thursday (16/4). It began after the police received information about the existence of such LPG adulteration sites.
“Following information from the public regarding the continued existence of similar activities, Polsek Cileungsi once again conducted patrols in the Kirab area,” said Edison on Saturday (18/4/2026).
He and his team then combed through several locations suspected of being LPG adulteration sites. There were several points suspected as such places.
“Although no direct adulteration activities were found during the raid, the officers discovered substantial evidence supporting the suspicions,” he explained.
The officers secured weighing scales, 12-kg and 3-kg LPG cylinders, as well as injection hoses and scattered rubber gas seals from around the raid locations.
“It is suspected that the perpetrators had fled before the officers arrived at the scene,” he clarified.
At the first site, police secured 110 12-kg LPG cylinders and 255 3-kg cylinders. Meanwhile, at the second site, officers seized 54 12-kg gas cylinders.
“All the evidence secured was then brought to the Cileungsi Police Station for further investigation,” he concluded.
