The Narcotics Directorate of Metro Jaya Police has uncovered the sale of prescription drugs in the North Jakarta (Jakut) region. Police confiscated 1,360 Schedule G narcotic tablets from the shop.

AKP Angga, Head of Unit 4, Sub-directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate, Metro Jaya Police, stated that officers secured one suspect with initials NZ (19) on Monday (16/3/2026) at 00:30 WIB. The case came to light following information from concerned residents about illegal drug sales activity at the location.

“We from Unit 4, Sub-directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate, Metro Jaya Police, have successfully apprehended one perpetrator with initials NZ, with the crime scene in the North Jakarta region, with evidence of 1,360 Schedule G narcotic tablets, which are a type of narcotic,” said AKP Angga in his statement on Tuesday (17/3/2026).

In addition, two mobile phones, one sales ledger, one QRIS payment board, and cash totalling 1.41 million rupiahs, suspected to be proceeds from the sale of these drugs, were also secured. The suspect and evidence have been detained for further processing.

“To prevent the spread of Schedule G drugs, as they can have an impact on street brawls in Jakarta, we hope that if any information is found regarding the circulation of Schedule G drugs, please report it to us so we can eradicate it completely,” he said.
