Police Raid Online Gambling Headquarters in Hayam Wuruk, 321 Foreign Nationals Arrested

Jakarta - Bareskrim Polri arrested 321 foreign nationals suspected of involvement in cross-border online gambling operations. The arrests took place at an operational location for online gambling in an office in the Hayam Wuruk Street area, West Jakarta. Of the total 321 individuals secured, 228 are from Vietnam and 57 from China. Additionally, there are 13 Myanmar nationals, 11 from Laos, five from Thailand, and three from Cambodia. Investigators found at least 75 domains and websites suspected of being used for gambling. These sites use specific character combinations to avoid blocking. Police suspect the network is linked to an international syndicate and is run in a structured manner. During the operation, investigators also seized several pieces of evidence, including safes, passports, mobile phones, laptops, personal computers, and cash in various foreign currencies.
