The Metro Jaya Regional Police have searched nine locations across Jakarta, South Tangerlan, and Bogor to investigate an alleged corruption case involving construction equipment projects, which has resulted in state losses of Rp37.35 billion.
The raids, which took place on Thursday (17/9), were conducted to gather evidence related to suspected corruption in the cooperation between PT Infrastruktur Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkominfra) and PT Green Line Indonesia for PT Agro Wahana Bumi during the 2018–2019 period.
“The searches were carried out at nine locations to find and secure documents and other items related to the case,” said the Director of Special Crimes of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Kombes Pol. Victor Dean Mackbon, in Jakarta on Friday.
Victor explained that the target locations included the office of PT Agro Wahana Bumi in Bogor, the virtual office of PT Green Line Indonesia in South Jakarta, as well as several other sites in West Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta, and South Tangerang.
As a result of the operation, investigators seized evidence including agreement documents, receipts, cheques, business savings books, as well as documents for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles to further investigate their connection to the case.
In this matter, investigators have named six individuals as suspects.
Four suspects are from PT Telkominfra, namely MSS, DAA, JW, and PNS, while the other two suspects are AS from PT Green Line Indonesia and MDR from PT Agro Wahana Bumi.
“Based on calculations by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the project is alleged to have caused state losses amounting to Rp37.35 billion,” he said.
In addition to gathering evidence, the investigative team is currently conducting asset tracing to optimally recover the state losses.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Kombes Pol. Budi Hermanto, emphasised that the investigation process is being conducted professionally and transparently, upholding the principle of the presumption of innocence.
