Police Raid Karaoke Venue 'Den' of Child Prostitution in West Jakarta

The Head of Public Relations at the West Metro Jakarta Police Resort, AKP Wisnu Wirawan, confirmed the raid. The operation was led by the Head of the Child and Women Protection Unit (Satres PPA) and the Morality and Public Order Unit (PPO) of the West Metro Jakarta Police Resort, Kompol Nunu Suparmi, on Saturday (9/5) around 01:00 WIB. “That’s correct; essentially, there was prostitution at the karaoke venue. The scene of the incident (TKP) is at the karaoke and bar on Jalan Daan Mogot, Kedoya Utara, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta,” Wisnu said when confirmed by detikcom on Tuesday (12/5/2026). Wisnu stated that during the operation, police secured more than a dozen women, two of whom are still minors. “Exploitation of 19 people, two of whom are underage children with initials S (17) and F (16),” he added. In the covert operation, the Satres PPA and PPO team from the West Metro Jakarta Police Resort secured four women suspected of acting as pimps. The pimps are alleged to have employed the victims to serve lecherous men under the guise of karaoke. “Here, they recruit, harbour, and exploit. Employed to serve lecherous men. Yes, prostitution,” he explained. Currently, the four pimps along with the victims have been brought to the West Metro Jakarta Police Resort for further investigation.
