Police conducted a raid targeting illegal alcohol sales at several herbal drink stalls and acts of thuggery in the Kemang area of Bogor, West Java. The operation resulted in the seizure of 60 bottles of alcohol.

“As a result, the team successfully visited herbal drink stalls suspected of selling alcohol and seized 60 bottles of various types and brands. The evidence has been secured at Kemang Police Station for further processing,” said Kemang Police Chief AKP Yulita Heriyati on Wednesday (18 February 2026).

Yulita explained that the raid was conducted jointly with the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Kemang Sub-district Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), in response to community complaints regarding the circulation of alcohol at herbal drink shops. The operation was also carried out to anticipate security vulnerabilities ahead of and during Ramadan.

“This activity aims to prevent disruptions to public order and criminal acts that may occur due to the influence of alcohol, such as fights, traffic accidents, and other crimes,” Yulita said.

Yulita added that routine patrols are also being conducted at locations prone to public order disturbances, including brawls, illegal street racing, and street crime. She urged the public to work together to maintain security and order during Ramadan.

“With the seizure of these 60 bottles of alcohol, it is hoped that the potential for public order disruptions in the Kemang Sub-district area and its surroundings can be reduced. We will continue to carry out patrols and surveillance to maintain public security and order,” Yulita said.
