JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A joint team from the Sub-Directorate IV and the NIC Task Force of the Directorate of Narcotics Criminal Investigation of the Indonesian National Police raided a drug syndicate operating in the Gang Langgar area, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan.

During the operation, police arrested 11 suspects and confiscated a number of narcotics as evidence from the network, which is believed to have been operating for about four years.

“The drug syndicate operating in the ‘Drug Village’ of Gang Langgar, Samarinda City, has been successfully dismantled by the joint team,” said Eko in a statement on Saturday (16/5/2026).

Preliminary investigations revealed that the syndicate had a daily drug sales turnover of IDR 150 million to IDR 200 million.

“The daily drug sales turnover is IDR 150-200 million,” he said.

However, the Indonesian National Police’s Narcotics Directorate has not yet detailed the types and quantities of drugs seized during the operation.
