Police Raid Drug-Ridden Village in Bima, Nine Arrested

Police have raided a drug-ridden village in Kumbe Ward, Rasanae Timur District, Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The operation resulted in the arrest of nine individuals and the seizure of 1.36 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

“All suspected perpetrators along with the evidence have been secured at the Bima City Police Headquarters for further legal processing,” said Bima City Police Operations Head AKP Masdidin on Sunday (14/6/2026).

Masdidin revealed that the raid was carried out on Saturday (13/6) afternoon. According to him, police had conducted a series of mapping exercises prior to raiding the drug distribution location.

“This operation is a form of commitment by the Bima City Police to eradicate the distribution and abuse of narcotics, especially in areas that are of concern and prone to drug activity,” he added.

Masdidin disclosed that the nine arrested suspects had the initials SU (43), IWE, PPR (26), FA (36), ANS, ZAI (26), ASR (29), MU (35), and MAS (23). “Of the nine detained, two were the targets of the operation, namely SU and IWE,” he stated.

In addition to securing the methamphetamine and the suspects, police also confiscated a number of items of evidence believed to be related to narcotics offences, including plastic clips, a suction device (bong), and a glass pipe.

“The total methamphetamine evidence secured in this operation is approximately 1.36 grams,” said the former Dompu Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head.

Based on initial investigations, the suspects are believed to have acted as dealers or to be involved in the narcotics distribution network in the Kumbe Ward area. Masdidin stressed that further development of the case would continue in order to uncover the drug trafficking network in Bima.
